Neil Floryl Flory became a children's writer when his son asked him for a bedtime story. His first picture book, 'The Short Giraffe', was nominated for Book of the Year at the Children's Book Council of Australia Awards. He now lives in Goa, where h divides his time between writing kids' stories, adult novels, comics and screenplays; and making music, art and pottery.
