Michele WachterMichele Wachter is experienced in caring for clients with Alzheimer's and other dementias. She is based in Long Island, New York and has been working with the elderly since she was a small child. With her congenital missing left hand, she has learnedto battle life single-handedly. With experience as a full-time mom, she is also experienced in the art of managing tantrums, accidents, events, and much more. Juggling voluntary service, her job as a caregiver/trainer, and her personal practice, she's also an expert at multitasking. With these well-rounded, super-charged skills in her repertoire, Michele adds her singular passion for caring and giving back to the community as a final ingredient to her care routines. Michele has worked as a hands-on caregiver for years, improving her techniques individually as she went on.Since 2011, Michele has also excelled as a trainer for other caregivers and aides, imparting her knowledge to enable them in their respective fields. As life finally gives her some room to breathe, she has turned her attention to recording the events of her life that led her to this point and to inspiring others through her highly unconventional journey. In doing this, she lays out her heart and the circumstances of her life for others to see and learn from, much as she lays out the secrets and tricks of the trade that she's acquired over years of practice, research, and teaching.
