Junru ChenJunru Chen is currently an Associate Professor at Xinjiang University, China. His research interests include power electronics control, modeling, stability, and application. He has been working on grid-forming converters for the past 10 years and wonthe best paper award for his work on the potential impact of the virtual synchronous generator on the power system. He has published 26 papers as the first or corresponding author in reputed journals. He is supported by the Chinese Outstanding Young Talent Project and has been the principal investigator of two national research projects in China and 10 joint industrial projects, all related to the development and control of grid-forming converters. He serves as a technical committee member of the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies.
