Dale Smith Dale Smith has resided at various times in Texas, Yemen, Oregon, California, and Ontario. On the faculty of the Department of English at Ryerson University, Toronto, he has published essays, reviews, and criticism, including, most recently, "Poets Beond the Barricade: Rhetoric, Citizenship, and Dissent after 1960," and is the author of poetry texts that include AMERICAN RAMBLER (Thorp Springs Press, 2000), BLACK STONE (Effing Press, 2007), Susquehanna (Punch Press, 2008), and SLOW POETRY IN AMERICA (Cuneiform Press, 2014).
